Float a lil’ higher and a lil’ faster with every dance step, until it’s near impossible to catch up to you. Insist on seeing the big picture so far ahead of most. Understand that some of life’s most defining moments are born out of decisions swathed in reckless abandon. Have the eyes of a person who has seen a little too much for a little too long, and yet manage to keep the spark lit. Constantly seek out experiences to enrich the soul, like travel and falling in love. Guard your heart safely but not foolishly. Believe inherently in the good in life, regardless of how bruised and battered you are. Learn that passion and imagination are key ingredients in world domination. Aim for the impossible, not perfection; the two are so often falsely synonymous. Trust your intuition; it knows you better than you know yourself. Listen to your head, but follow your heart. Realise that niceness is overrated; it is better to be interesting. Surround yourself with the bent and broken, the flawed and fearless, and in it finally discover your lion heart.
Three Meaningful Words
I didn’t understand how much I was weakening the meaning of ‘I Love You’ until recently. For me it always used to feel like it was a needed phrase fast and soon, so I could get a long relationship. I was wrong.
I’m sorry to everyone that was once under the impression that I loved them. The truth of the matter is that besides family, I haven’t loved any of the men I have been with. I may have liked you a hell of a lot, but no it was never love. My most recent tattoo says ” Buildings burn, People Die, but Real Love is Forever.” The truth of that hit me this week.
I once thought I loved a man or should I say boy, until a week ago I was under that I will always love him but can’t be with him. Nope, wrong again. Everyone of us, lets ourselves get wrapped up in someone, something etc. I got a different perspective on this boy recently and he’s not who I thought he was, I have no respect for this man anymore, and it was then that I stepped outside of my own current relationship and truly saw how amazing I have it.
We may tiptoe around some emotions and some normal “milestones” that Normal couples go through, but we are not normal. But I would go crazy without him. He’s been in my life almost six months now, and I am the happiest I have ever been. Our shyness leads to adorable notes, and most recently the best email ever, which had one line… “I’m in love with you.” We will say it when it’s right, but for now I have my best friend, lover, and boyfriend right by my side, and that is okay with me.
I Love You, is something you feel. For a lot of people I am afraid that it lost it’s meaning. When I say it I want it to mean something, even if that means I only say it rarely. I would rather that than say it 10x a day and not mean it. I don’t believe you can ‘love’ someone in weeks. I believe you know when someone is different from the others. But that doesn’t mean you work any less, or you don’t need to impress them. Real love I’m afraid is rare in modern ages, whereas lust is so much more prevalent.
People need to learn : that Love is More than words, it may be hard but the good things are, to tell the truth it’s worth it, Love takes sacrifice, but when you find it all this will seem like nothing. Just to have the one you truly love, happy and in love with you too.
Never took these as important until I found the man who did them, and I believe him. He is the best thing that’s happened to me. I wouldn’t give him up for the world! A real man, that I would go crazy without!
